When owning a home there is always a chance that there could be some issues that will need to be tended to. Most people think that owning a newer home can prevent these leaks but sometimes that is not true. It is always a wise choice to have a handy supply of some mold remediation products ready in case of an emergency. The quicker you react to a water leak the quicker you can relieve your home of black mold. Remember, black mold doesn't take long at all to spread throughout your home so you must react very quickly to prevent the worst case scenario. I have experienced plumbing leaks in our home and of coarse the water overflowed and rested in the place where i work everyday which was my office. I noticed that my network server was swimming in water and my carpets where sitting in a river of water. i went down to the office the very next day to start the mold assessment and i already smelled that musty smell that mold spores give off when you have a mold problem. There was no way i was going to get any work completed because i started to get all congested and eventually my head started throbbing and my skin turned real red from irritation. i made up my mind that if i didn't do smoething about this mold right now that i would be in trouble. I checked checked an online mold store and purchased some new organic mold remover that really impressed me. Then i went to the local hardware store and rented a water extractor and a carpet cleaning machine combo. i went back home and began to start the mold remediation process. The first step i took was i used the water vaccuum machine to extract as much extra water i could to make sure it was no standing water left. The mold removal kit that i purchased came with a mold remover and a mold blocker. The 1st solution was to clean the black mold and the 2nd mold remediation product acted as a shield to prevent the mold from returning. I will explain later how much advantages i received usingthis mold removal kit. I filled up the carpet cleaning machine with the mold destroyer product. After i used the carpet machine to apply the solution to every area of the carpet that was wet and applied the mold cleaning solution to the carpets as the machine did its job. I then let the natural mold cleaning product stay in the carpet for 10 - 15 minutes as i was instructed to. I filled up a 1 gallon spray bottle like they pest control guy uses and applied the mold cleaner again just for precaution to make sure i got all the areas. Now i just ran over the carpet again with the carpet cleaning machine and ussed the vaccuum to dry up the carpet. Now that you have the initial step of the mold remediation chore all finished. The next part was easy. The secondmold remediation formulas was the mold encapsulator. All i had to do was spray that one time on the affected area and let it sit. That was it! The directions said to spray it on the surface again only if i wanted to in which i did to be better safe than sorry. My office is clean and free of that horrible musty smell and I and i am working in a clean work environment which now i no longer have to worry about throbbing headaches due to the mold spores. The main challenge was to get rid of the mold that was embedded in my carpets in which i was successful. But i was amazed that the mold cleaner actually picked up some stains that i had in my carpet as well. i am probably more excited that the mold problem was dealt with before the problem cost more money to fix.
Carpet mold can over take a home in no time at all. If you don't use a good mold killer, the mold may become harmful to you and your families health.
