Denver, known as the Mile High City, offers enough excitement and fun for a well deserved getaway. Kids can have their day out at the Denver Zoo and the Downtown Aquarium. Both these places feature some of the most exotic animal species that fascinate young and the old alike. You can spot species not just from around the region but also from all across the globe. The beautiful and rugged settings of Denver, right in the heart of American west, offer some great options for exciting outdoor activities. There is no dearth of things that can be done in Denver. You just need to be adventurous enough to explore them. You could go for hot air balloon rides, horseback rides, jeep tours, rafting trips, rock climbing trips or simply a biking tour down the Denver region. If you don't want adventure and just wish to laze out in a bright garden or park on a laid back picnic or lunch, you have some wonderful options. The Denver parks and gardens like Butterfly pavilion, inset center, cave of winds and Denver botanical gardens are a great option for a relaxed picnic. Denver Festivals have something for everyone. Be it singles, couples or families all can enjoy a bit of something at Denver throughout the year. Denver hosts quite a few festivals in the course of year such as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, the Cinco de Mayo, Colorado Renaissance Festival, and the Colorado Music Festival.
